AceOn Plus — AceOn’s own brand
Alkaline Batteries Uganda: The AceOn Plus Range
AceOn Plus is our own-brand alkaline range — the alkaline batteries Uganda’s homes, shops, schools and clinics run on every day. Five sizes, from AAA to the PP3 9V block, supplied in boxes of 10 for retail counters and wholesale pallets alike.
More than two million AceOn alkaline cells are already in use, and the range is trusted by Tier 1 companies. Every cell is mercury and cadmium free, carries a coded expiry date, and is rated for five years on the shelf.

The alkaline batteries Uganda’s homes and businesses run on
Most of what a battery has to do is unglamorous. It keeps the wall clock right, the radio on, the torch working when the power goes, the remote responding, the smoke detector listening. AceOn Plus is built for exactly that: everyday, dependable power at a price a household, a school or a clinic can buy again next month without thinking about it.
It is also the range that puts our name in front of people daily. AceOn Renewables Africa is a Ugandan company, locally owned and led from Wakiso District, with AceOn Group UK as a strategic partner bringing more than thirty years of British battery expertise. A shop that stocks AceOn Plus this year is a shop that already knows the name when it comes to buy stored power later.
The commercial case is straightforward. Alkaline cells sell every week rather than every few years, the sizes are standard so nothing sits dead on the shelf, and the range is own-brand, so the margin stays in the channel rather than paying for somebody else’s advertising. More than two million cells are already in service and the range is trusted by Tier 1 companies — this is a proven product, not a launch.
Built to survive the shelf, not just the device
A cell bought in a shop here may have spent months in a humid warehouse before it reaches the counter, and months more in a drawer after that. These are the figures that decide whether it still works when it is finally needed.
Five years on the shelf
Every cell carries a coded expiry date, and the range is rated for a five-year shelf life. Stock that sits in a warehouse or on a counter through a wet season is still stock you can sell.
Leak resistant at 60°C
Tested to 20 days at 60°C with no leakage, and no leakage on over-discharge either — the state a forgotten torch or a dead remote actually ends up in.
Mercury and cadmium free
Mercury at or below 0.0001%, cadmium at or below 0.0010% and lead at or below 0.0040%, with packaging and inks below 100 ppm for the four restricted heavy metals combined.
Made to the IEC standard
IEC 60086-1, -2 and -5, GB/T 8897.1 and .2, GB 8897.5, Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 and Directive 94/62/EC. Drop, short-circuit and reverse-installation tested.
The cells operate from −18°C to +50°C, with +10°C to +35°C recommended. That covers Ugandan conditions with room to spare, indoors and out.
Five sizes, one standard
AAA, AA, C, D and the PP3 9V block — the five alkaline batteries Uganda’s devices actually take. Same chemistry, same shelf life, same leak-resistance and heavy-metal limits across all five. The service figures below are the datasheet’s own test results, not estimates.

Full specifications
Every figure below comes from the AceOn V1.0 datasheets. Nothing is estimated or carried across from another size.
Capacity is measured at 20°C on continuous discharge, at the current and end-point voltage shown against each size. Part numbers are the AceOn datasheet references — pack SKUs in the Shopify store differ, so quote the part number above when ordering direct.
Safety: do not attempt to recharge, do not short-circuit, do not heat or incinerate, and do not mix new and used cells or different brands in the same device. Keep cells away from small children.
Retail, wholesale and distribution
AceOn Plus is retail and wholesale ready across all five sizes: alkaline batteries Uganda’s shops, wholesalers and distributors can stock, reorder and sell every week. Tell us which channel you are buying for and we will quote against it.
Retail
Boxes of 10 per size, ready for a counter display or a shelf peg. Order the sizes that move and top up the rest.
Wholesale
Volume supply across all five sizes for wholesalers, hardware chains, supermarkets and institutional buyers.
Distribution
Territory and sector distribution agreements for partners who want the AceOn name on their own route to market.
Pricing and minimum order quantities are quoted on enquiry rather than published, because they depend on the sizes, the volume and the delivery point. Our Uganda team handles it directly.
Where the range earns its place
Households buy AA and AAA for remotes, clocks, torches and radios. Schools buy C and D for lab equipment, wall clocks and portable lighting. Clinics buy PP3 9V for the smoke detectors that have to keep listening for a year at a time — the datasheet rates a single 9V cell at 23 days of continuous smoke-detector service in its standby test, which is what background operation looks like when it is measured properly.
Businesses buy across the range, because a hotel, a hardware shop or an office gets through every size. That is the point of stocking a full range rather than two sizes: one supplier, one delivery, one invoice.
